About this report

This report shows the number of times an appointment was postponed per 1000 scheduled appointments.

Understanding dental care

The dental health program provides emergency, general and denture care to eligble Victorians through community dental clinics, rural hospitals and the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. People are treated in the order in which they are placed on either the general care list or denture care list at each clinic.  People requiring emergency care or urgent dental needs are prioritised.

Target

As part of Statewide and/or National agreements, targets have been set for some key performance indicators. These annual targets are shown to enable comparative achievements to be illustrated.
